By Emmy Johnson, It’s Pride Month. This is the month when we celebrate who we are. This is the month when we remember the courageous, beautiful, fed-up people who took to the streets to defend themselves against police brutality. This is the month when we celebrate what it means to be ourselves, what it means to be able to be ourselves publicly, what it means to be able to be ourselves publicly, what it means to love and support and cherish each other. This is the month when we remember and celebrate those who are not able to be themselves publicly, and we show them love through our celebration of who they are, though they are not able to celebrate with us.
